After our trip at Nashville I headed to a concert in Stecoah Valley. This was a phenomenal concert with legendary Doc Watson and David Holt. Doc is a Grammy Award Winner, not too mention a blind musician who is one of the founders of bluegrass and his own style of picking.
It was a moving show that was great to be a part of. Even though I am not fully familiar with Doc’s music I have some of his stuff, and it was great to be so close to this artist.
There is a festival that is world renowned named after Doc’s son, Merel, who died in a farming accident. Merle’s son played at this show also. It was an experience I will forever remember. After this show I slept at home and then headed to our vacation at Sunset Beach.
