Simplicity Public Relations began in the remote mountains of Western North Carolina in the shadows of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  After being tired of what seemed like a wasted degree, Jerry Span, founder of Simplicity PR, began promoting some of the outdoor programs and historical hikes he was leading in the surrounding forest.  He soon started receiving much exposure for the programs he lead and began being referred to as a historian for the area.  After countless articles in papers and magazines, as well as requests for lectures, Span began promoting other areas for the employer that he worked with.  While pushing these stories he began building contacts in the western NC area, both in the media as well as with other artists to make Simplicity a powerful little company.  Simplicity was soon developed and began working with other business in the area to gain exposure for their services.  That’s how we began!

The first artist brought to the table with Simplicity is William Haun.  William is an extraordinary photographer with an eye for aesthetics.  He has worked on several projects for Simplicity with photo shoots illuminating the Western NC area.  From boat rides on Fontana Lake, backpacking in the National Park, and photographing one of the largest Miata events in the United States, William has done extensive work with Simplicity.

He also works tremendously with Baptist Medical Center and other missionary organizations.  Haun was recently featured in Friends of the Georgia State Park’s publication for his photo project of visiting all of Georgia’s State Parks and Historic Sites.

Another key staff of Simplicity is Justin Baker.  When not pursuing his love of music with Nashville artist Little Bear, Justin freelances work in graphic design.  For Simplicity Justin has produced videos as well as graphic design elements like logos, media packets, and more.  His most recent project was for a little recording artist in the Nashville area known as Miley Cyrus.
